The Sheffield Cure: Uncovering Two Centuries of Medical Marvels

Get ready to explore Sheffield’s groundbreaking medical past! The Faculty of Health has launched an exciting podcast series, sharing remarkable stories of the city’s medical discoveries over the last 200 years – a journey leading up to the bicentenary celebration of the Medical School in 2028. 

The inaugural episode delves into a pivotal moment: the very first trial of insulin for diabetes patients, right here at the Medical School in 1923.

Don’t miss out! 2028 will mark the Sheffield Medical School’s 200th anniversary, to be celebrated with an exciting programme of events.
